SCRIBBLES FROM THE BIBLE: GROWTH AND EXCELLENCE

You have built faith and that faith has started influencing your thoughts, words and actions. It is time to grow!

I must mention to you that the faith of a “mustard seed” can only take you so far if you stay mediocre, in fact, your faith should be a propellant for self-development and excellence in becoming.

To put this in perspective, let’s look at it this way. You have a vision of becoming and what you’re meant to become, The first step would be to develop faith in your vision; the belief that it is possible and it is possible for you.

Next is seeding and feeding your faith, which is taking steps that align with this belief, this vision.

Next is, growing in understanding and knowledge of how to become that which you’ve chosen to be or are becoming and not just how to, but how to be effective enough or excellent at what you’ve chosen.

This stage is for life and doesn’t stop. This stage takes consciousness, alignment, diligence , focus, learning and humility.

Let’s face the truth, if all you have is a dream or you’re just taking steps haphazardly without any real know-how, you’ll keep moving but never making progress. To move is not the goal, to make progress is.

The Bible says in Proverbs 22:29, “see a man diligent in his work, he will stand before kings and not ordinary men”

Diligence is concentration, focus, determination, growth, learning, excellence. I tell you categorically that if you’re diligent in your journey to becoming, this diligence would lead you to growth in knowing and growth in being.

Be intentional about improvement and improvement in quality. Quality of time and focus you give to pursuing your goals or growth, quality of whatever you’re putting out, quality of whom you are as a person.

Because your vision is not what makes you stand out, neither is your dreams but what makes you stand out is the quality level.

In other words, excellence in whatever you’re doing.

Give yourself to growth. Don’t just talk the big talk, walk the walk also. Take pain and improve yourself.
